Origin of Company Name
"Tem is a reference to the 10 (Ten) conditions stipulated by the standards for electrical facilities at the time Tempearl developed our first automatic cut-off switches (safety breakers) that satisfied all 10 conditions, as well as referring to our bimetal type breakers that operate at a certain temperature. We combined"Ten"and"Tem" with "Pearl" (as in valuable jewels), representing our superior components contained inside our switches, to create the name "Tempearl Switches". Capitalizing on the opportunity when our company merged with an associated company in 1965, we used the name "Tempearl Switches" representing our renowned safety breakers, and changed the company name from "saimi Denki Industrial Co., Ltd." to "Tempearl Industrial Co., Ltd.".
